We welcome you with open arms to our family at Josef's School of Hair Design. The Josef's tradition spans more than fifty years and includes many of the leaders of our industry. We have always served our students with one objective—to provide the best educational experience possible to prepare you for a successful career in this wonderful and amazing profession of beauty.
We have one grand opportunity in the business of beauty, and that is the ability to change lives by raising the self esteem of our customers, making them proud of who they are. By bringing out the best in their appearance, we bring out the best in them.
We carry out this mission of teaching future professionals with pride, knowing we can provide them with a life-long career of doing something they love. There is not a day that goes by that we don't go to the salon and love what we do, whether it's working with students at Josef's or with professional stylists at Olivieri's Salons. Josef’s is located at 627 NP Avenue in downtown Fargo, and is owned by Josef’s School of Hair Design, Inc. This school is located at the heart of historic downtown Fargo. It has been an educational hub for over 50 years. Founded by Joseph Olivieri in 1960, the school is the center for learning about the ever changing world of hair design, fashion and spa services. Josef’s is comprised of two main floors totaling 13,000 square feet. The second floor is where theory, basic training and advanced classes are held. The main floor is the educational clinic, where students will perform services on the school’s diverse clientele. Josef’s uses many visual aids to assist the students and has a complete and updated library. The downtown campus is situated close to many apartments, restaurants and shopping locations. This location allows easy living for out of town or commuting students.

Josef’s West Academy is located at 4501 15th Avenue SW in Fargo, and is owned by Josef’s School of Hair Design, Inc. The school occupies a building with approximately 3200 square feet. Facilities include classrooms, clinic and reception area. Josef’s uses many visual aids to assist the students and has a complete and updated library. It is conveniently located next to West Acres Mall and the Scheels Sports Center.
The Fargo-Moorhead metro area has a population of 184,857. The Red River runs through the metro area, and it is just 40 minutes from the Lakes area. Fargo-Moorhead is fortunate enough to have North Dakota State University, Minnesota State University Moorhead and Concordia College. The universities sponsor many community events, including sports, musicals, symphonies, theatre and educational classes. Other metro area events include: The Red River Valley Fair, Winter Festival and many concerts, shows and sporting events at the Fargodome.

Josef's is located at 2011 South Washington in Grand Forks, and is owned by Josef's School of Hair Design, Inc. The school occupies a building with approximately 11,000 square feet.
Grand Forks has a population of 52,000 and is located on the North Dakota side of the Red River, with East Grand Forks being on the Minnesota side. The "Grand Cities" have much to offer—spacious parks, great fishing, cross-country skiing, canoeing, shopping at Columbia Mall and the new Cabela's, excellent hotels and restaurants and many arts and theatre events. The Chester Fritz Auditorium provides a splendid array of national entertainment, ranging from country to theatrical family performances. Grand Forks is also home to the Alerus Center, Ralph Englestad Arena, North Dakota Museum of Art and the Comedy Gallery.
